Garr Lange's publishing is in full swing. Recently Garr signed with Ash Street Music in Nashville to license four of his songs, "Wild Country", "Riverside", "Welcome Home" (from his CD "Run Through Fire") and "Dim the Lights" (from "Crossing the Line") to pitch to Film, TV, Advertising and all media.

In 2006, Garr Lange songs fared well in two world song competitions. "IT..." and "(Anything) Not to be Alone" (each from "Run Through Fire") received Honorable Mention in the 2006 Singer/Songwriter Awards. In the 2006 International Songwriting Competition, five different songs "Wild Country", "Run Through Fire", "Riverside", "Crossing the Line" and "Stunned by Love" advanced in three separate categories, AAA, Americana, and Country. This is a considerable achievement as there were over 14,000 song submissions worldwide, a testament to his across-the-board appeal.

On the artist front, Garr is assembling a band in Nashville and his performance schedule will be updated soon. He is also in the studio recording songs to add to his extensive catalogue and shopping his music on "Music Row." Inquiries may be directed to the contact menu.

If you are not familiar with Garr's music, he is a celebrated soulful vocalist and songwriter who can skillfully cross over many different genres with his trademark styling. He remains true to his roots and influences as evidenced in his CD's, a mix of Rock/Country/and R&B. He has been described by one major publication as a "countrified" Michael McDonald, while another critic from England (Pete Smith's "Rockpile") had this to say about his European release of Crossing the Line: "Here we have the debut of a talent every bit as good as anything in 'Billboards' top five."
